What a Happy Day!!
Yesterday was the fourth of July, I decided I would take my Mom out of the nursing home and Dye her hair/cut it and take her out later on to see the fireworks! I was excited, it has been five years since she has seen them maybe six. Last year my dad talked me out of doing, said the noises would scare her, but I was ignorant this year. The fourth of July was always my moms favorite Holiday to celebrate, outside of Christmas. She couldnt take her eyes off of them, and the most wonderful part is she talked!!! I have not heard a word out of her since January. She only said Hi and yes but I am good with that!! It just shows me she was in her happy place! Hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday!

That is great news Amy, I am so glad you spent the day with your mom. You sound like a very special daughter and I treasure the time I have with my parents who are still alive in their 70s and of sound mind.
